More Activity Types

eClass is equipped with additional activity types to assist in the facilitation of instruction:

  • Attendance: enables an instructor to take attendance during class and students to view their own attendance record.
  • Chat: Allows participants to have a real-time synchronous discussion
  • Checklist: Create a checklist / to-do list / task list for your students to work through.
  • Choice: An instructor asks a question and specifies a choice of multiple responses
  • Database: Create a collaborative collection of links, books, book reviews, journal references, etc. Display student-created materials for peer comment and review
  • Glossary: Enables participants to create and maintain a list of definitions, like a dictionary
  • Group Choice: Allows students to enroll themselves in a group within a course. The instructor can select which groups students can choose from and the maximum number of students allowed in each group.
  • Questionnaire: For gathering data from students to help teachers learn about their class and reflect on their own teaching
  • Wiki: A collection of web pages that anyone can add to or edit.  A wiki can be collaborative, with everyone being able to edit it, or individual, where everyone has their own wiki which only they can edit.

Note that MoodleDocs does not show the same appearance as our instance of Moodle (“eClass”), but the functionality of the settings is the same. All links will open in a new window.
